Handicraft Group

Details

The Handicraft Group is a friendly, member led group who share skills, learn new skills or work together to produce pieces for the STWI events. Everyone is welcome and no handicraft experience is necessary.

The group reformed in summer 2018 and the first three meetings demonstrate how diverse the handicraft skills of our members are.  The first meeting was hosted by Tina who taught us how to make lovely flower pins. The second meeting was hosted by Sharon who taught us how to make a holder for our sewing bits with a pin cushion on top. For the third meeting we were asked to make bunting for the upcoming Tonbridge 100 Steps back in Time event in August. We found a shortcut version and with a bit of an assembly line set up at Judy's house we accomplished a good amount of bunting that should decorate the WI stall nicely.
