Book Club Meeting 31st May
REVIEW: The Light Between Oceans by M.L. Stedman
- The subject of the book most people enjoyed
- People thought it was a well written book with many complex emotions and blurred, grey lines.
- A heart-rending story it tell of a relationship of Tom and Izzy, the man broken by war and reignited by a love for a young woman, who live together manning a lighthouse on an island off Western Australia (Janus) in the early 19th Century. Then a small boast is found one day, with a body and a baby on board. What they choose to do next will echo in their lives and the lives of others
- Most of the group would recommend the book to others to read, but would not reread it themselves
Thank you to Julie Glenister-Plumb for the review.
